lilacdragn:1.) When you were little, how did you imagine your life turning out in terms of family, work, travels, ect?
Well, for one, I actually wanted to be an Air Force pilot until I found out I had to be good at math (I hate math) and I would have been too tall to fly a fighter. So then I decided I wanted to be a Marine Biologist until I figured out that Marine Biologists spend most of their time doing paperwork and boring stuff not like what you see on the Jaques Cousteau Hour on Animal Planet. That and they don't make any real money.
So believe it or not, I went to college for Music Education. Sometime around my last semester at college, I decided I hated teaching because I could never teach what I really wanted to and the arts department in schools were getting cut. So I went to work for the Evil ISP when they came to town.
I always knew I wanted to settle down, but I never really imagined I would have gotten married and been celebrating my 1 year anniversary with an infant child.
2.) How would you describe being a father to someone without kids?
Messy. Smelly. Fun. Interesting. Exciting.
3.) What is your guilty pleasure, what song/book do you adore that your friends would find uncharacteristic of you or "uncool"?
Hah! I've got so many of them being a musician. I love lounge singers like Tom Jones and Tony Bennett. Decidedly NOT goth, if you know what I mean.
4.) What faults and/or bad habits do you have?
I have a bad temper. I get frustrated with incompetence.
5.) Describe yourself to a blind man.
6' tall, fat, with a moustache and flavor saver. Long curly brown hair, chestnut eyes. unhealthy pale color.
From
adora_endymion:1.) If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be and why??
I want to be skinny again like I was in High School.
2.) What song best describes you and why??
Probably "A Sad, Sadness Song" by Current 93. Why? Because it describes someone who tries and fails. I never, ever win. Every time it seems like I get ahead, something happens to put me back behind. That, and I'm manic.
3.) If you were a type of food, what would you be and why?
Haggis. Because you have to be brave to eat me, but once you do, you love me.
4.) You're about to die. What are your last words?
Depends on the circumstances. Probably something like "Hah! I win, fuckers!"
Tell me a quote you really like.
The voice of intelligence ... is drowned out by the roar of fear. It is ignored by the voice of desire. It is contradicted by the voice of shame. It is biased by hate and extinguished by anger. Most of all it is silenced by ignorance.
